HomeMocha Girls on a MissionMocha Girl on a Mission: Aisha A Photography Terri Lomax July 29, 2013 Obstacles I’ve Overcome… I’ve encountered many obstacles in my life but the biggest one was definitely the passing of my mother from pancreatic cancer in 2011. She was my main supporter when it came to my photography and just my empowerment in general. A lot of times I didn’t want to talk about the way I felt when it came to my mom because I thought no one would understand. I didn’t want pity so I would keep it to myself. I would even use photography as my outlet. I made a decision that instead of showing weakness, I wanted to keep my mom smiling by working extra hard on pursing my photography career. My Greatest Accomplishment… My greatest accomplishments to date are definitely being a mother to my 2 year old son and the growth in my photography business. I’m a Mocha Girl on a Mission because… Aisha A Photography is a business I started about 2 years ago and since then has grown tremendously. I wanted to give my audience a type of photography they can feel which is why a lot of the images you may see incorporate some type of concept. Photography started out as a hobby. It was something I would do if one of my friends needed photos for modeling. As I made the choice to turn my passion into a business, the word got around and now requests and support is coming from everywhere including places out of the U.S. Although I am an onsite photographer based in the Philadelphia area, I am making it my mission to become a worldwide brand. I don’t mind working hard for what I want. Congratulations on your accomplishments Aisha. Your story is inspiring! We celebrate you and honor you greatness!
