The good summer vibes are flowing and I’ve got some additional sunshine to send your way!

I am incredibly excited to announce that Mocha Girls Pit Stop is growing and we are in need of some fresh and flowering creativity, personality, innovation, and commitment!

MGPS is now hiring for the position of Community Manager and we are turning to the incredible people in our community to fill this role.

We’re out here to break barriers and make magic happen and the truth is, we can’t do it without you! This position is not only going to be a vital part of the MGPS brand but it will also be integral in the BIG moves we’re making in next few years.

I know you want to get in on this goodness so take a peek at the position details!

What does the position entail?

Our Community Manager will primarily be responsible for:

      • Social Media Management: You will help us expand our reach on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, by developing and executing a regular posting strategy, including writing the content and scheduling posts. The point here is to create a stronger (more engaged) community and marketing plan (and to make sure I post on Instagram consistently).
      •

      • Online Community Management: You will own community engagement with both our free and paid Facebook groups, along with any other communities that sprout up for our brand. You’ll do this by posting engaging content, initiating discussion, monitoring comments, answering questions, cultivating relationships, being highly responsive, and escalating any concerns or arising themes to me.
      •

      • Customer Service: This is primarily email based, where you’ll be answering questions for new and potential clients and current community members. You may need to tune in to virtual events (webinars, live trainings, or courses, etc…) to assist with troubleshooting and customer support.
      •

      • Content Creation: You will assist with a number of different tasks ranging from creating social media posts, landing page copy, promotional content, and more.
      •

Not a bad gig, huh? Where else do you get to pour out your creativity and support such a fun and meaningful brand?

Occasionally, there is a need to work additional hours on evenings and weekends during a launch or other events which happen a few times per year. The ideal candidate would have a flexible schedule. Also, this is indeed a paid opportunity. Details about compensation will be discussed during the interview process.

So now that we got that out of the way, let’s chat about who the community manager is. Not just what she does, but what she’s all about. Is it you? Take a peek!

What does an ideal candidate look like?

  • You’re detail-oriented, structured, and organized. This position is highly administrative and the types of tasks involved require keeping things tight, clean and pristine!
  •

  • You have excellent overall writing skills and a strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, and spelling. You are someone for whom writing flows freely and feel good. You’re someone who has the juice for prose, content and creativity.
  •

  • You’re a great communicator. Both with our team and publicly with our community, communication is a key aspect of this position. Connection, connection, connection, has to be your jam.
  •

  • You love working with people. We’re a lifestyle brand. People are the lifeline of what we do!
  •

  • You have at least 7-10 hours a week to dedicate to this role. You’re also interested in going full-time one day, if the opportunity arises.
  •

  • You have an optimistic outlook on life and the possibilities it holds. We are all about good vibes and positivity here at MGPS. It’s essential that every member of our team live this out to keep the brand authentic and true for our readers.
  •

  • You’re self-motivated and work well independently. It’s all about being on the lookout for opportunities to make magic happen, even when it’s not always on the official to-do list.
  •

  • You want to support an entrepreneur, not become one yourself. If you’re building something on your own we’d never want to keep you from growing. This is a long term position and we want to keep you around. This position is best for someone simply looking to support, not learn for the benefit of their own venture.
